NUMEROLOGY:
The study of numbers some claim have an occult or mystical influence
on a person's life.
OUIJA BOARD: A polished board containing the alphabet, the numerals 0-9, and the words "yes" and "no" and a planchette which can slide easily over the surface of the board when touched lightly by the seekers, answering their questions by indicating their response through the markings.
PALMISTRY: The interpretations of the lines and marks on the palms of the hands. This is sometimes as an indication of medical complications in the physical body.
PARANORMAL PSYCHOLOGY: Study and research of phenomena beyond what is considered normal in given mental and material situations.
PARAPSYCHOLOGY: Science concerned with human actions seem independent of the normal physical means of expression, such as extra-sensory perception (ESP) and other sensory or motor acts not dependent on the physical body structure or senses.
PAST LIFE REGRESSION: A form of meditation, preferably guided, or hypnosis wherein the subject "visits" a past incarnation. This is considered by many to be useful in the working out of current life karmas and situations.
PHYSICAL MEDIUMSHIP: In this form of mediumship, physical and visible events/phenomena occur; some of these are levitation, materialization, apportation, and spiritual painting.
POLTERGEISTS: Playful, noisy, and sometimes spirit entities; sometimes destructive of property, but rarely causes harm to those around. They act in daylight as well as darkness.
PSYCHIC
PHOTOGRAPH: Images of the supernormal, images, lights, and entities
on exposed photographic plates or films.
PSYCHIC SURGERY: Healing of a paranormal nature wherein the diseased portions are removed through psychic means without the use of medical tools or standard methods.
PSYCHOMETRY: Ability to obtain facts through an object, usually through touching or handling it; it is possible with this form of mediumship to accurately describe events ad people connected to those events through the object. This is a form commonly related to investigative efforts such as finding lost children.
PSYCHOKINESIS/TELEKNESIS: Physical objects are moved without the use of obvious physical energy, power, or device; mind over matter.
RAPS: Sounds made by knocking, tapping, or striking upon something; sometimes through the use of ectoplasmic rods.
RUNES: The reading of polished and marked stones, which are cast in the search for answers to specific questions.
SEANCE: Two or more persons who meet in a spiritual environment and attitude with the purpose of communicating with non-physical entities.
STONE AND GEM READING: The interpretation of the patterns of the stones cast.
SLATE
WRITING: Psychic phenomena: two slates are sealed together with a
small pencil lead or chalk between them; placed in the center of a séance circle,
messages are written which can be read at the close of the sitting.
TAROT CARDS: A deck of numbered, pictured, and often keyed with the positive and negative key words. Following a specific pattern of laying out the cards, a reading is given based on the cards presented and position.
TEA LEAVES: The interpretation of the tealeaf residue in the bottom of a cup of steeped tea.
TELEPATHY: Mind to mind communication with persons on the same plane or between the beings on the earth and spirit plane.
TRANCE: A spontaneous or induced sleep-like altered state of consciousness; during the trance, the medium's physical body is utilized by the discarnate in order to express itself.
TELEPORTATION: A form of telekinesis or psychokenesis wherein objects are moved over a great distance (apport) and through other matter, such as walls.
TRANSFIGURATION: With ectoplasm from the medium, the Spirit guides and teachers form a likeness of a being from the astral plane over the features of the medium; the features are recognizable.
TRUMPET: A megaphone of aluminum or cardboard texture utilized to increase the vocal capacity in production of direct voice phenomena.

SEANCE: As with a séance, with the levitation of trumpets through
which spirit entities' voices are magnified for clearer hearing.
ZENER CARDS: A deck of 25 cards bearing 5 designs: the cross, a box, a star, a circle, and a set of wavy lines. These are used to determine extra sensory perception ability by testing through a sender and a receiver's ability to "read" the cards.
