materialization.
AUTOMATIC WRITING: A flow of intelligent writing that comes through the medium with Spirit control of the writing and the message. It can evidence pre/post/spontaneous cognition.
BILLET READING: The seeker writes on a piece of paper and the Medium/Psychic holds the paper, relating the messages received.
CRYSAL READING or SCRYING: This method has employed, actually, the use of a crystal ball, a clear plastic ball, a shiny, clear, plastic black enamel metal piece, or even a metal bowl containing clear water; each is placed on a black cloth; the medium sees images in the clarity of the device.
DOWSING: This may also be considered in the science aspects of Spiritualism. The dowsing instrument is held in your hands and as an extension of the nervous system enables the medium to "tune in" to the energy fields of the sought for information.

HYPNOSIS: Through various techniques, an altered state of consciousness is reached through the guidance of another person. This is often used for medical, psychological, and historical processes with individuals.
I CHING: Deals with life situations, the influences around the situations; gives advice concerning the best way to proceed with the dealing of these situations. Based on a series of six lines, with a traditional interpretation attached to the forms of the lines; coins or yarrow sticks are used to form the lines.
